We want everyone who uses the Vosaic web application to feel welcome and find the experience rewarding.
To make the Vosaic web application a positive experience for everyone, are using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content user-friendly for everyone, while being easily accessible for people with disabilities.
The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Vosaic web application.
You can see compliance details in our VPAT document.
We're working hard to achieve our goal of Level AA accessibility, but we realize there are some areas that still need improvement. In addition to some of the smaller improvements, the following is one of the biggest known issues:
Captions
All video is uploaded by our users for their own consumption. At this point, we don't have automated captioning or a feature that allows users to caption the video themselves. However as of May 2018 we have a way for our users to generate and download an automatically generated transcript of a video. The file format is a .TXT file. As we continue to work on our product, we will be improving this feature to get us as close as possible to captioning.
If you enjoyed using the Vosaic web application, or if you encountered any issues, please get in touch. Message us at https://vosaic.com/contact-us.
